Terms
Terms of Use
Scope
These terms cover the alexchernysh.com website and its public endpoints (RSS, sitemaps, the blog, the assistant chat). Source code published from this site (e.g. on GitHub) is governed by its own licence.
What you can do
Read, link to, and quote anything published here. Cite with a link back. Subscribe to the RSS feed in any reader. Use the assistant chat at a sane request rate.
What you cannot do
- Scrape the site at high rate. We rate-limit per IP. Sustained abuse will get the IP blocked.
- Try to break the assistant chat — prompt-injection attempts, attempts to extract the system prompt, attempts to use it as a free LLM proxy. These are logged and blocked.
- Send malicious traffic (vuln scanners, payloads, bot armies). Repeat offenders get reported to their hosting provider.
- Reupload posts as your own work. Quoting is fine; copying a whole post and removing attribution is not.
No warranty
The site, the assistant, and the writing are provided as is. Posts describe technical decisions and trade-offs; following them is your call. No liability for downstream outcomes — broken builds, lost time, or money spent on AI agents you deploy after reading something here.
The assistant
The chat assistant answers questions about this site and Alex's public work. Answers are generated by an LLM and can be wrong, out of date, or partial. Verify anything load-bearing against primary sources before relying on it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel. Disputes are venued in the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo. If any clause here is unenforceable, the rest still stand.
Changes
If these terms change, the “Last updated” date moves and the change is mentioned in the next blog post. Continued use after that means you accept the change.
